Job Description Summary:

The Development Project Coordinator will be the lead on the school’s Impact Tours, act as the capital campaign coordinator, act as a gift officer for donor retention, and assist in building an effective and comprehensive development program at VCS. The Development Project Coordinator is a self-starter, possessing a diverse skill set and demonstrating the ability to be resilient and adapt to an ever-changing and growing department.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees all aspects of Valley Christian School’s “Sponsorships” program (events, banners, electronic, etc.)
  • Creates digital and print marketing and promotional materials as needed
  • Oversees and implements all capital projects outside of capital campaign including vendors, timelines, budgets and other related tasks
  • Acts as logistical coordinator and solicitor for our partnership with Financial Planning Ministry
  • Manages weekly financial reporting and analysis
  • Works with program directors and approves all fundraising requests by programs/clubs/teams
  • Manages school’s “Spirit Shop” (new ideas, ordering, fulfillment, reporting, achieving revenue goal)
  • Principal Grant-writer
  • Assists with event support as directed
  • Assists with Development projects/campaigns
  • Assists Advancement Office in enforcing brand consistency
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Adheres to Valley Christian policies, procedures/processes, and codes
  • Performs other related assigned duties
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Must be a Christian with a consistent testimony among his/her family, peers, and students
  • Must have and maintain a valid level one IVP fingerprint card
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license
  • Ability to work independently, but also thrives when working as a team
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to multi-task with organization
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate relationships with outside vendors and businesses
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred Qualifications, Education and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Successful experience in project management, marketing, sales, fundraising, or development
  • Experience in creating digital and print media (videos, posters, mailers, or experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, PhotoShop, Microsoft Publisher)
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
  • Must be able to work during prolonged periods of standing and walking at events
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to travel locally
Compensation:

Salary range is $40,000 – 45,000 per year and is commensurate with education and experience. Employee medical, dental and vision plans, 401K, and additional benefits are included with the position.
