Description

Fusion Education Group is seeking a curious and tenaciously driven individual to lead data and analytics architecture for a data aware organization. This opportunity will report to the Director of Information Systems and provide mentorship to a small team of data and visualization developers.

This opening requires excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills. As a Lead Solution Architect at Fusion Education Group you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of data and analytics for the company's data ecosystem. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle; appreciating and translating the needs of the user and ensuring the final product meets their expectations while upholding department and company standards.

Candidates must have experience in Microsoft SSMS, SSIS, and Power BI. Knowledge in Azure DevOps Repos pipelines is highly preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Compile innovative ideas for new data sets, reports, and dashboards from people across the organization
• Architect, drive, and create new data movement and data warehouse elements
• Architect, create, and present new analytical measures, analysis, and reports that support measuring the success of various departments and projects
• Define and persist best practices in the Data and Analytics space
• Communicate cross-departmentally to ensure consistent data interpretation and application
• Support the development of the Data and Analytic focus at Fusion Education Group
• Project manage various report, dashboard, and data requests
• Provide documentation, training, and support to the organization to ensure the highest level of data and architectural design and security standards
• Minimal travel to schools and markets as needed

Position Requirements

Skill Requirements are as follows:

• Strong knowledge of analytics and data warehouse architecture
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, statistics, computer science, or another similar field
• Master's degree in business, finance, statistics, computer science, or another similar field preferred or commensurate experience
• 8-10 years of related experience with database administration, data modelling, data warehouse architecture, data movement, or analytical modelling
• 5+ years SQL experience (DDL, DML, DQL preferred)
• Excellent Excel and presentation software skills
• Experience with data visualization tools, Microsoft Power BI preferred
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps administration and execution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Diligent and self-motivated work ethic
• Working knowledge of SAFe Agile preferred
