SUMMARY: Support the Community Engagement & SIS by coordinating, organizing and managing the effective
operation of the daily activities of Truancy Support Specialist, Family Engagement Support Specialist, Community
engagement Support Specialist & Director of Community Engagement & SIS Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Calendars (attendance department & team calendar)
Tap Hearings
PD
1:1 School Support Visits
Maintain Truancy Student Database information up to date (ACCESS).
Manage the budget for Community Engagement and Student Information Team
Reception coverage.
Order office materials for Community Engagement and Student Information Team
Manage Court and District Files
Check incoming TAP referrals for necessary paperwork.
Mail TAP meeting letters.
Record TAP date & time on IC.
Make packets after the TAP meeting. (3-4 packets per meeting)
Responsible for re-scheduling, sending and filing out 10 day letters after Pre-court conference (TAP).
Prepare & submit all service information for the process server on all students going to court.
Travel to the court to process pleading thru the court window for new court students and/or reopening
cases.
Notarize Affidavit of attendance document.
Print supporting documents for affidavit of attendance
Mail court hearing letters.
Print paperwork like contempt, valid court orders, transfer domain or venue, submission of TAP.
Make packet of documents needed for court for people involved in the case (3-5 packets per student)
Email packets to lawyers that are involved in the case.
Record on IC following court date and time and/ or dismissed cases.
Answer incoming department phone calls & follow up on requests.
Follow up on returned mail.
Translation at TAP meetings.
EDUCATION: Associate Degree required, Bachelors preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Two to Three years' experience in an administrative assistant role.
Knowledge of Colorado Revised Status regarding Compulsory School Attendance
Spanish bilingual communication skills preferred.
Bilingual.
Office & General Bookkeeping experience.
Excel & word experience.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent lifting 5 (five) to 10 (ten) pounds.
Occasional lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds.
Frequent sitting, bending, walking, and standing.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Mostly clean and comfortable.
