Salary Range: $56,277-$68,243

Position Objective:

Lead all DPS Community Partner initiatives to provide information and resources to schools and communities in the areas of community partner relations in support of DPS goals. Design, maintain and lead systems for Community Partners that ensure student safety (background checks) and student data sharing. Perform functions which are intrinsically generic, diverse and discretionary in order to respond to and support the needs of the District.

Essential Functions:

- Serves as the first point of contact for over 525 community partners who provide direct programming to youth in DPS. Maintains these relationships and connects partners to appropriate departments and schools.

- Develop, maintain and report on various projects, initiatives, or technologies related to community partnerships. Provide high level data to senior district leaders that inform depth and breadth of community partnerships.

- Represent the district as an active training facilitator in designated meetings and workshops, which impact community partnerships, projects and decision-making.

- Manage design, implementation, promotion, and continuous improvement of a process of recruiting, onboarding, and orienting Community Partners, including leading collaboration with Legal and Student Data Privacy Officer.

- Lead cross-department collaboration with HR and Safety to ensure partner compliance with all DPS policies and procedures.

- Integration, onboarding and facilitation of new community partner MIS (CitySpan) into District processes.

- Manage processes for partners to access data through appropriate District processes; maintaining and ensuring confidentiality of all data. .

- Mange process for and conduct trainings for partners on use of student data, including Infinite Campus access

- Work collaboratively with central office teams including DoTS, PSR, Student Services, Community Engagement, Assessment Research & Evaluation and Legal.

- Work collaboratively with local and national stakeholders including the Denver Afterschool Alliance, Denver Quality Afterschool Connection, Office of Children's Affairs (City and County of Denver), Weikart Center, and others.

- Directly support school leaders, family and community liaisons, school psychologists and social workers, and enrichment coordinators in seeking, connecting with, and effectively engaging community partners.

- Manage 1 Enrichment Specialist, who directly builds and supports systems at Discovery Link schools

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in education, nonprofit management, or related field.

- Five (5) or more years of related experience.

- Demonstrated knowledge working with community engagement or partner efforts.

- Experience building relationships with community, non-profit and government sectors.

- Background working in a K-12 education system is preferred, but not required.

- Experience conducting trainings for large audiences.

- Experience and proficiency with Google products.

- Experience managing teams

Licensure & Certification:

-Valid Colorado Driver's License, appropriate insurance coverage and acceptable driving record for the past three years.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:

-Ability to manage several projects on tight deadlines with minimum supervision.

-Self starter who is highly motivated and can work independently once given direction.

-Work effectively and collaboratively with District staff at all levels.

-Possess strong attention to detail.

-Problem-solve and act decisively.

-Ability to communicate diplomatically, persuasively, effectively (orally, writing).
