About the Role

At GEMS Dubai American Academy, we are looking for a qualified and experienced High School SEN/Inclusion Teacher who is excited to join our world-class schools and is driven to provide education at an exceptional level. The High School Division of Dubai American Academy is proud of the 1,000+ students from more than 85 countries who are driven academically to excel and while remaining deeply engaged in our rich athletic, fine and performing arts, music and innovation programs. After completing the American curriculum in grades 9 and 10, students pursue the full IB Diploma, IB Certificate courses or AP courses. All graduating students additionally earn an American High School Diploma. Students are provided opportunities to demonstrate their many talents, communication skills, and leadership qualities through curricular and co-curricular activities. Teachers encourage and assist students in becoming active learners, with integrating their ideas, feelings and experiences into the instructional program.

The ideal applicant will have:

• A minimum of 4 years of solid and demonstrable teaching experience ideally within an American Curriculum HighSchool
• A relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE or BEd or equivalent with Masters in Special/Inclusive Education
• The ability to share outstanding practice and develop other colleagues
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
