St. Louis Public Schools is seeking a Related Services Data Specialist that reports directly to the Director of Special Education. This position supports the Office of Special Education in the collection, analysis, use, implementation and support of data and related technology systems to
manage MoHealthNet (Medicaid) tracking and billing systems.

Position Summary:
St. Louis Public Schools is seeking a Related Services Data Specialist that reports directly to the Director of Special Education. This position supports the Office of Special Education in the collection, analysis, use, implementation and support of data and related technology systems to
manage MoHealthNet (Medicaid) tracking and billing systems.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, monitoring and implementing data generated in the Office of Special Education
- Maintain the District's fee for service - therapy logging system
- Coordinate the School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) program
- Generate reports to help determine therapy logging and revenue generated
- Work with related service personnel to collect and provide licensing and therapy data
- Interact with vendors to ensure systems are functioning, reports are accurate and stored data is maintained and backed up properly
- Maintain data for review and auditing purposes as required by monitoring entities
- Facilitate training and informing staff in the use of data system
- Ensure proper training of staff included on Personnel Roster for SDAC program
- Complete and submit the quarterly personnel roster
- Work with transportation staff to ensure students with transportation accommodations are tracked properly for purposes of Medicaid transportation reimbursement
- Manage other projects and tasks as identified by the Director of Special Education
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Passionate about providing accurate database information to allow for improved decision making and customer service
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Proficient computer skills in Windows and Microsoft Office Products (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point) and the ability to master new software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Programming manipulation skills with MS Word and Excel
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in progressively responsible data collection and analysis
- Experience with MoHealthNet (Medicaid) terminology and compliance (preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred some college (required)
- IT, education or other related experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Work is routinely performed in a typical interior/office environment
- Very limited or no exposure to physical risk
