Responsibilities shall include but will not be limited to:
  • Serves as initial point of contact for incoming applicants.
  • Initiates and tracks to completion all new hire documents in accordance with department’s procedures.
  • Initiate’s background/clearance checks; reviews result and finalizes with approval or denial.
  • Ensures compliance to pre-employment mandatory training requirements based on applicant’s position.
  • Collects all standardized DHS documents; completes applicable internal forms and disseminated to Field/Academy leadership.
  • Communicates with all applicants prior to employment inception confirming location and schedule; assist with questions.
  • Versed in company benefits; may participate in annual benefit open enrollment process.
  • Assists with creation and implementation of work environment and culture events that reinforces company’s mission and values.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of employee contests and programs to achieve desired engagement.
  • Leverage internal resources to ensure employee awareness, understanding and participation in programs and/or process improvements related to increased engagement and building a best place to work culture.
  • Assists with department projects.
  • Produces identification badges as necessary.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Education/Experience.

Degree or high school diploma with two years’ experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have impeccable organizational skills, proficiency in MS office skills and the willingness to learn all aspects of HR culture incentives.
