About the Role

GEMS American Academy Abu Dhabi is looking for qualified and experienced Drama Teachers who are excited to join our distinguished school and are driven to provide education at an exceptional level. The successful applicant should have the following:

• A relevant degree qualification such as a BEd/MEd or a Bachelors/Masters in Drama/Theater Arts and an internationally recognized teaching qualification (ex. PGCE, PGDE) or teaching license
• At least 2 years' demonstrable Drama teaching experience at an outstanding level, in an IB/American curriculum school
• Familiarity with the IB framework, standards-based grading and the American curriculum
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
• Understanding of PLC model (collaborative)
• A growth-oriented and enthusiastic about the arts
• Professional commitment to becoming an "Outstanding" Teacher
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
