Hillcrest Elementary School in the School District of Waukesha is seeking a teacher with a passion for growing learners, and themselves, for a position with our special education team. Our public school has strong ties to the community of Waukesha and our neighborhood as we support ALL learners in learning, growing and excelling every day. An ideal candidate would be someone who: -is passionate about serving our learners and families as well as the broader school community -is a self-directed learner whose educational mission drives them to provide the best possible learning experience for all learners -is a strong communicator who begins by listening and is confident in sharing thinking about learners and instructional practices -collaborates with all school stakeholders to advocate for all learners -desires building a strong relationship and growing ideas with teaching partners -has a strong background in inclusive practices; understands best practices and willing to immerse oneself in our district's frameworks for classroom workshops -develops and implements high quality IEPs, FBAs and BIPs, including plans to support social/emotional development -is flexible and responsive to learner, team and building needs -believes learning is joyful and that schools should be an engaging, rich, integrated experience for ALL learners -has a positive outlook and is excited to join a dedicated team of professionals who are learning together!
