    Qualifications
    • Be listed on the Illinois Department of Public Health's Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR) as a Certified Nursing Assistant
    • Has current CPR certification
    • Working knowledge of community, medical, and social services resources
    • Ability to provide culturally competent care
    • Ability to monitor and record client-related outcomes and observations
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents, students, and medical professionals
    • Ability to work within guidelines established by District policies and/or grants
    Compensation
    • The hourly wage for this position is determined based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Champaign Educational Support Professionals, which is available on our website. Because this is a new classification, there is no wage table listed in the posted Agreement. The attached document shows the current wage schedule. 100% of a CNA's contribution to the IMRF pension system is currently paid by the Board of Education. The Board also pays 83% of the employee-only health insurance and 100% of vision and term life insurance. There are opportunities for CNAs to earn additional compensation during the regular school year and in the summer.
