The Devereux CARES ( Center for Autism Resources and Education Services) School in Fitchburg, MA is a small private special education school that supports students ages 5- 22 with Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, and social skills deficits. Our primary goal is to teach functional and pro-social skills that can be easily generalized to the student's community and home. There is a strong emphasis on functional communication and skill acquisition using Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support. At The CARES School, students learn academic, social, daily living, and independent living skills, as well as community and vocational skill development. Students works in the community at Subway, Ron Bouchard's Car Dealership, and The Gardener's Spot.

Qualifications

• MASS DESE Certified;
• Moderate disabilities 5-12 preferred;
• Content certification considered.
• Please provide your license number when applying.
• Experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support strategies required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or H1B Visa in United States required.
