About the Organization:

The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund creates a pathway for thousands of hard-working Charleston County public school graduates to attend a great South Carolina college, by helping families with limited means to pay for college with up to $40,000 in total scholarship awards. Inspired by Meeting Street Schools, a groundbreaking initiative to raise the bar for education in South Carolina, the Meeting Street Scholarship Fund aims to close the funding gap for those students who have earned a spot at an eligible college or university. The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund is a program of the Beemok Family Foundation, and is founded by the generous education philanthropy of Ben and Kelly Navarro.

In the first year, 94 Charleston County students earned a Scholarship to attend eligible colleges. The Scholarship Fund is likely to expand to other counties in South Carolina, and will impact more than 1,000 students in the decade ahead. To learn more, visit our website.
