Description

Position at IDEA Public Schools

Executive Director- Arkansas

Position overview

At IDEA Public Schools, we believe in college for ALL and we are committed to ensuring that all our students graduate from college. IDEA has grown from one small school to a large, multi-state network of tuition-free Pre-K-12 public charter schools sending 100% of our students to college with 50% of our students graduating from college in 6 years - that's 8 times the national rate for students in our communities! As the Executive Director, you will be a member of the Schools Team that lays the foundation and provides the strategic direction for these outcomes to be possible.

In this role, you will ensure successful outcomes for all students, staff, and leaders in Arkansas with the partnership and support of functional leaders across the organization. You will lead the region to accomplish all measures of student success, staff performance and retention, operational stability, financial stewardship, and board development.

The Executive Director for Arkansas will be charged with continuing to lay the foundation for IDEA's success in the region prior to the first year of instruction and ensure high quality academics, community and staff experience, and educational outcomes once the region is operationalized in August of 2024. Arkansas will provide a unique opportunity for an Executive Director to serve two distinct geographies within the state: Northwest Arkansas, centered around Springdale/Fayetteville, and Central Arkansas, centered around Little Rock. IDEA Arkansas will launch 12 schools on 6 campuses over the span of 4 years, serving nearly 9,000 students at full enrollment. The first two IDEA campuses will open in Little Rock.

Role Mission: The Executive Director reports to the Area Superintendent and partners closely with senior leaders and national teams across the organization to ensure successful outcomes are met. The Executive Director is responsible for all measures of student success, staff performance and retention, operational stability, financial stewardship, and board development in their region.
