JOB TITLE: MS Educational Assistant - Special Education Aide

2021-2022 School Year.

JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Lead small groups as planned by SPED teacherReports to Assigned Staff for various functions as requiredGeneral support such as copying and data entry can be provided during non-academic instruction times. (i.e. lunch) if student support need is not required.Maintain notes or conduct regular consultations on student progress in groupsProvide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom with collaboration with any additional staff including, SPED staff, school counselor and ABA therapists"Push In" support for SPED students in general educationOther duties as assigned by direct support staff and cleared through administration

• If applicable, work will require 1:1 support for student with behavioral and academic challenges and needs.

*Grading and student analysis are to be performed by classroom teacher only and with feedback/collaboration with aide.

Employee must abide by all guidelines regarding appearance, punctuality and technology use as indicated in the MLA Employee handbook.

Time Management:

A 15 minute break for every 4 hours worked and a minimum 30 minute lunch for every 8 hours worked; to be coordinated with support staff and supervisory personnel.

Will be adjusted per each individual's salary notice.

SALARY, HOURS, APPLICATION AND REPORTING

• Salaried - 0.8 FTE, (32 hrs per week; 8 hrs per day Mon-Thurs)Monthly salary range: Depends on FTE and experience within education.
  • $2,400.00-$2,782.26 per month

  • Specific schedule to be coordinated with supervisor
