Business Operations Analyst, Operational Excellenc e
Note: The engagement will be a remote, part-time (with a flexible schedule), six-month program running from January 2022 through June 2022.
Internship Summary
The NWEA Operational Excellence (OpEx) team supports organizational performance through operational planning, continuous improvement, lean six sigma, CAPA, financial planning and analysis, and oversight of our Quality Management System (QMS). The OpEx Business Operations Analyst Intern will support our QMS through documenting and finding improvement opportunities in critical product and service value chains across the organization. The right intern can engage and communicate with senior leaders and values the relationship between internal performance and service to our partners. We expect the work of this Intern will culminate in a capstone project that will identify all components of our primary service and product value chains.
The Intern will be assigned a manager and mentor to guide their experience. This opportunity will provide the Intern the ability to work with Operational and Delivery Managers across disciplines in a co mpany that
isn't a typical manufacturing organization. Interactions will include leaders in our Content, Engineering, Professional Learning, and other Delivery teams as well as our Chief Operating Officer, VP, Operational Excellence, and other key leaders across the organization.

- Interview leaders and practitioners across all functional areas to record processes
- Document product and service value chains, primary and supportive contributors, and their processe s
- Determine ideal method for value chain visualization
- Coordinate with internal specialists to build a value chain dashboard
- Instill Trus t : gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and auth enticity
- Communicate Effectively : develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Customer Focus : build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel and comfortable with spreadsheets
- Willingness to be persistent with a keen attention to de tail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education and Experience
- Previous job-related experience in a technology environment a plus
- Full-time student in business, operations management, operational excellence, process engineering or related fields
