Queen of All Saints is seeking a full-time hourly early childhood teacher aide. Hours 7:45 - 3:15. Queen of All Saints, located on the northwest side of Chicago, is a PK - 8 Catholic school and is known for its committment to academics, educating the whole child and building community.
Works with teachers to promote the educational and social development of the children enrolled in the program. Applicant must be child-centered and able to take direction from the lead teacher.
GENERAL DUTIES:
• Supervises the classroom when the teacher is out of the room.
• Oversees unstructured free play. Works with teacher to ensure organization of free play corresponds to scheduled structured activities.
• Implement activities and small groups based on lead teacher's lesson plans
• Greets children, assists in making smooth transitions based on established routines
• Assists with meals, toileting (students are independent), hand washing
• Consults with lead teacher on program planning, planning for individual children and various tasks that support lesson and program planning
• Performs general housekeeping tasks.
• Performs other duties necessary to the smooth functioning of the facility as assigned by the lead teacher and/or administrator.
