High school education required plus five years of successful responsible clerical or stenographic experience, (two years of which should be in the school system) including accuracy in typing, (not less than 50 wpm) word processing, speed writing or dictation. Graduation from an accredited business school or college with a secretarial science major may be substituted for two years of required experience. Knowledge and proficiency in computer application including WordPerfect, Microsoft word, and Excel or other spreadsheet is required.
