- The nurse is legally responsible to train, delegate and supervise nursing procedures.
- Create individualized health care plans for students with health-related problems; interpret health and developmental information for parents, school personnel and students
- Delineate accommodations and/or modifications required for learning when indicated by health or developmental status of student
- Serve as a resource person and consultant to staff, students, families and community health providers
- Itinerant nurse position to assist the Health Services department to support school nurse and health initiatives district-wide.
- Will be asked to perfrom various professional nursing duties in areas of most need, CPR and First Aid classes, Special Education assessments, performance of invasive nursing procedures.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Colorado Licensure as Registered Nurse
- Holds a Colorado special services provider license or is currently eligible for one with the appropriate endorsement for this position
- Current CPR certification
- 3 years of current clinical experience
- A completed Human Resources file including transcripts, student teaching verification, previous work experience
