Capstone Academy is an Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio program located in Portage County. Capstone Academy serves PK-12 students with profound multiple disabilities and medically fragile conditions within a residential facility.
The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is seeking interested and qualified candidates for a part time (half day/AM Center based classroom assignement but could lead to full time assignment with additional PM duties) Early Childhood/Preschool Intervention Specialist Teaching position assigned to Capstone Academy located at the Hattie Larlham facility for the 2020-2021 school year.
The assignment is a lead teacher position for a self contained specialized Preschool Center-Based classroom serving students aged 3-5 with severe to profound cognition, communication, social, emotional needs and delays. Experience serving preschoolers with disabilities who are medically fragile and have significant educational and physical delays and needs in a residential setting.
Center based services will be delivered Monday - Friday, four hours daily along with itinerant services delivered as well in the close geographic area.
Service will be provided at the residential facility in the mornings and in the community in the afternoons.
Experience or extensive knowledge and skill set needed in a Center-based classroom setting in a separate school building. Working collaboratively with multiple staff members and families needed.
