Reports to: Manager IV - Software Support

GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for serving as a resource for users of the district enterprise resource planning (ERP) system; analyzing problems and issues related to the ERP information system and related software; developing and maintaining process workflows with the ERP. Also performing database administration and database development for processes related to the District ERP; supervising ERP technical support staff; facilitating collaboration between departments that utilize the ERP; and assisting users with the use of the District ERP.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Administer the ERP software environments to ensure the effective use in supporting the human resource, business services, risk management, and the purchasing and distribution departments.

Develop and maintain process workflow within the ERP information system to ensure clarity of process, a transparent view of steps needed for completion of a process, and clear tasks are assigned to the appropriate staff.

Facilitate a variety of collaborative meetings and trainings on the use and implementation of the ERP information system.

Develop database queries and data integration packages to support data integrations across a variety of enterprise level software systems.

Develop and maintain PowerShell and other scripts to automate routine processes to support District operations.

Collaborate with multiple departments and the information technology department staff on a variety of projects related to the ERP information system.

Demonstrate a high level of expertise and professionalism building relationships with stakeholders specifically the human resources and business services departments.

Supervise ERP support staff to ensure effective and timely customer service related to the District ERP information system.

Assigns technical support staff responding to customer work orders and inquiries based on assessment of requests and priority to provide appropriate solutions and/or technical assistance required to resolve customer issues.

Maintain various manual and electronic documents, files, and records providing up-to-date reference and audit trail.

Prepare various documents providing written reference, documenting activities, and/or conveying information.

Research applications, vendors, consultants and emerging technology to recommend products that meet district requirements for capabilities and costs and provide technical assistance to district staff.

Respond to direct inquiries from departments and school personnel regarding district supported software to resolve problems, provide information and/or assign IT personnel to address.

Perform other related duties as required/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of four (4) years of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

Microsoft MCSA SQL Server or similar certification required.

Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

Knowledge of basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems.

Knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include current, legacy and emerging operating systems; environments and network protocols; enterprise computing and equipment; advanced database concepts and best practices; business continuity and disaster recovery best practices; Inter/Intranet applications; application program interfaces (API); data security, processes and methodology.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.

The work is light work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.

Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.
