FOOD SERVICE DRIVER
CENTRAL KITCHEN
I. Overview :
Those persons on the school kitchen staff who regularly drive any of the Food Service vehicles. A driver is directly responsible to the Director of Food Services and Assistant Director.
II Job Description:
- To load and deliver Food Service supplies, food, paper, equipment, etc., to maintain maximum efficiency and pw1ctual schedules.
- To inspect vehicles daily for proper maintenance, safe performance and clean appearance.
- Maintain sanitary and health standards in the following other areas:
- Food Handling
- Cleaning of kitchen areas.
- Cleaning, washing and care of all kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Assists in other duties as required and/or assigned.
III. Qualifications :
- The driver must possess a valid Connecticut driver's license an excellent safety record as an operator and no moving violations within the past three (3) years.
- Minimum qualifications
- Education and experience
- Physical requirements
- An examination by a qualified medical doctor
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds to unload and load trucks.
- Freedom from communicable disease
- Suitable physical stature, with vitality, with no disabling impairment of vision, hearing or speech
- Mentally alert., self-controlled, tactful, trustworthy and high moral character, free of any police record.
- Must submit, upon request, recommendations of past employments
- Neat and clean in appearance.
- Other qualifications
- Must show willingness to observe all safety precautions
- Must have enthusiasm and understanding for School Nutrition Programs and reflect this enthusiasm by working and cooperating with all other employees, superiors, students, faculty, etc.
- Schedule: 8.0 Hours per week day
- Hourly Rate: $18.68 per hour
