Job Description:

The Blake School seeks to hire an Upper School Robotics Coach to collaborate with our current lead coach in providing leadership and management of an established robotics team (Grade 9-12) participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching and engineering, as well as experience with or a desire to learn about the FRC program. We also value the ability to inspire bright, highly motivated students to collaborate with a team of adult mentors and volunteers and to ensure that the program invites participation from students whose identities are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields. This is a year-long co-curricular position, with practices after school and on weekends. The team meets approximately once a week throughout the fall and three times a week-including Saturdays-from January to March, during build season. Afternoon practices run from 3:30-5:30pm (days TBD). Compensation is a stipend commensurate with experience. Blake is particularly interested in candidates who will enrich the diversity of identity, lived experience and thinking that makes a community strong and empowers students to engage across differences.

The search committee will begin reviewing applications immediately.
