THE ANNUAL STARTING SALARY FOR THIS POSITION IS $65,000. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Job Summary

Provides coordination and administration of the GEAR UP Project in a seven-year effort to increase the awareness of and readiness for opportunities in post-secondary education for students who might not otherwise be aware of those opportunities.

Essential Functions

1. Coordinates academic program components and activities of the GEAR UP program.

2. Serves as liaison with Division of Curriculum, school principal, and other DCPS instructional staff for GEAR UP related activities.

3. Develops, updates, and monitors instructional components and related program activities.

4. Collaborates with DCPS Multiple Pathways and Support Services divisions to align program activities.

5. Develops and coordinates professional development delivery for GEAR UP staff.

6. Coordinates with GEAR UP partners to administer and align academic supports in alignment with the grant requirements.

7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in program management or school leadership. Experience in the administration of exceptional student programs preferred.

Certifications & Licenses: Florida Teaching Certificate.
