Qualifications:
- holds a Bachelor's Degree in early childhood, child development or a related fieldproven track record with planning and implementing high quality children/family groupsability to work on a team, but perform duties independentlypossesses strong organizational, word processing and data management skillspossesses excellent supervisory skillsability to model and facilitate appropriate parent-child interactionsexperience with working with a diverse populationbilingual English/Spanish, preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct supervision for on-site staff evaluatingMaintains data collection and required monthly State reportsDesigns and implements FRC family recruitment toolsProvides resource and referral to familiesFacilitates communication within school-family-community organizationsUpholds all school district policies including being a Mandated Reporter, following Code of Ethical Conduct and Maintaining Student/Family ConfidentialityAssists in the development and implementation of FRC workshops, events and activitiesMaintains site inventory and requests supplies when neededAttends appropriate professional development workshops/conferencesAssists with other FRC tasks assigned by Grant Administrator or School Principal
- Must have own transportation and valid CT Driver's License. Client transport with personal vehicle is strictly prohibited.
- This is a 35 hour per week, 12-month position established with enough flexibility to meet the needs of the program and the families served. Some evenings may be required. This position is in effect as long as funding is awarded to the New Haven Board of Education by the Connecticut State Department of Education. Position is subject to change or termination based on program needs and/or State funding issues. Pay rate is commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided.
- 90 day probation period is required beginning with the first day of employment or reassignment. Based upon probation performance appraisal, the Grant Administrator will authorize employment or termination.
