The Blake School seeks to hire a dynamic, full-time Grade 6-8 Computer Science Teacher for the 2022-23 school year. The ideal candidate will have an advanced knowledge of computer science and computational thinking, strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated commitment to using learner-centered pedagogy. Blake launched the Middle School computer science program in fall 2021 to complement our Lower and Upper School programs, and we seek candidates with a desire and a capacity to continue to shape the Middle School program and to design curriculum to meet the needs of students. Middle School faculty regularly engage with the broader community experience by advising students, chaperoning school events and participating in school meetings, committees and events.

Blake is particularly interested in candidates who will enrich the diversity of identity, lived experience and thinking that makes a community strong and empowers students to engage across differences.
