    Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's Degree; major in education, physical education, or similar field. Masters preferred.
    2. Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate preferred.
    3. Minimum three years experience in teaching or related roles. Coaching experience preferred.
    4. Satisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34 and 151)

    Summary
    Assists the Director of Operations, in leading the district's student activities and K-12 athletic programming. Administers and coordinates the activities of the district in support of the policies, goals, and objectives in support of the mission, vision, and strategy established by the superintendent and school board. Works toward creating a safe and positive learning environment in which students and staff have and achieve high expectations for success in student engagement and experiences. Develops a working relationship with all athletic department staff and building and district administration. Acts as a liaison and coordinator for the development and operation of student activities and community and athletic programs through strong school feeders, community partnerships, and collegiate involvement.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Serves as ambassador for ASD athletics and student activities to the Allentown community.
    2. Identify and cultivate relationships with community organizations with aligned goals, mission and vision of the district.
    3. Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
    4. Collaborate with Athletic Directors and administrators to ensure equitable student activities and athletic opportunities for all students and academic support.
    5. Cultivate relationships with elementary and middle school principals to identify opportunities to grow K-8 athletics and serve as feeders for high schools.
    6. Grow and partner with community leagues and athletic clubs including summer programming to support the development of younger athletes.
    7. Collect data and develop metrics in order to measure progress of student activities and community and athletic programming.
    8. Assist in providing professional growth and development opportunities for athletic staff and coaches, including regular meetings, to help create an environment of collaboration and communication.
    9. Work collaboratively with booster clubs and parent groups, and other community stakeholders as it relates to athletics and student activities.
    10. Address the unique needs of low-income children, children with disabilities, English learners, racial and ethnic minorities, students experiencing homelessness, and foster care youth, including outreach and service delivery
    11. Plan and implement summer learning and supplemental afterschool programs
    12. Collaborate with building and grounds staff to ensure facilities are safe.
    13. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintendent of Schools and/or Deputy Superintendent.
    14. Requires work hours outside of the regular school day, which may include nights and/or weekends
