The Recreation Supervisor of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is responsible for supporting and growing Milwaukee Recreation's commitment to ensure the benefits of recreation are extended to all individuals in Milwaukee. This new position provides the opportunity for an individual to intersect their commitment to DEI with the field of parks and recreation.

Primary responsibilities include providing consultation to the department on DEI principles and practices; implementing and updating Milwaukee Recreation's Equity and Inclusion Plan; leading Milwaukee Recreation's equity committee; establishing and nurturing partnerships with stakeholders surrounding DEI; facilitating DEI trainings for staff; and collecting and analyzing data to determine gaps in service.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the passion and experience to work with Milwaukee Recreation team members to apply DEI awareness to all aspects of its operations and enhance access to recreation services and outdoor spaces for all Milwaukee residents.

The salary range is $53,246 - 76,471 (12 months/260 days)
