About Us
The High Road School of Harford County is a non-public, special education facility, certified by Maryland State Department of Education. Located in Belcamp, MD, High Road School serves students with disabilities and IEPs from Harford and neighboring counties. Our school wide behavior management system and individualized academic model allows us to meet students' needs in a variety of ways.
The High Road School of Hartford County is operated by Specialized Education Services, Inc . (SESI). SESI Schools provides specialized education programming for K-12 students who require additional educational and positive behavioral supports to overcome challenges that impede success in a traditional school setting.
The Opportunity
The Transition Coordinator will be responsible for providing academic, emotional, and physical services for students who require additional support to thrive in school. They will collaborate with special education teachers, social workers, and administrators to help students age 14 and up prepare for the transition from high school to successful post-secondary. The Transition Coordinator must be willing and able to work with students on job and life skills, community-based instruction, college and career readiness. Any experience with job corps programs, post-secondary academic institutions, or Serve-Safe or Pro-Start training (culinary arts) is a plus. The Transition Coordinator must be willing to spend time making connections in the community that will promote school and benefit students' post-secondary success. Every child deserves to reach their full potential and we're looking to hire an exceptional transition coordinator who will play an essential role in fueling student success.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or higher is required for this position.
-Secondary Special Education Certification is preferred.
