Intersted applicants must have:
  • Complete at least two years (30 credit hours or more) of successful college experience;
  • Exhibit academic qualifications with at least a 2.8 cumulative grade point average;
  • Possess communication and relationship skills to support middle and high school students;
  • Education, counseling, and STEM majors are preferred; and
  • Model attributes of the ideal AVID student who is motivated, organized, punctual, and collaborative.
  • If eligible, the part-time positions is from September 7, 2021 thru June 11, 2022.
    • AVID Tutors are scheduled to work during the school day for approximately 10 to 28 hours per week. Tutors may work at more than one school and must provide their own transportation.

4. In addition to completing the application, prospective hires must add the following four documents to the "Attachments"
section
of the employment application:
a. College Transcript(s)
b. Current résumé
c. Fall 2020 semester course schedule, (if applicable)
d. Applicants must also complete the Child Abuse and Neglect Training (CANT) to be eligible for
employment consideration. This training, which takes about an hour to complete, is available at no charge through web- instruction at:

Upon completion of the training, you should print your certificate and post it with other attachments to verify that you have met the requirement.

5. In the References section of the employment application, applicants must provide a minimum of three (3) references their
