Business Systems Analyst II - 12-Month Remote Contract Role
Note: This position is fully remote and can be located anywhere in the United States. Qualified candidates from all time zones are encouraged to apply.
Position Summary
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) specializes in analyzing, implementing, and improving information systems. The BSA works with business units to understand and translate their needs to IT teams and assists in delivering the technical solution to those needs.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with subject matter experts to elicit business needs and document business requirements
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements to be relied upon by designated technical team
  • Analyze systems to understand current functionality and impact of potential changes
  • Collaborate with project team to manage requirements
  • Define, plan, and execute analyses appropriate for the project need
  • Facilitate vendor analyses to inform software selection
  • Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions
  • Analyze current states, define future states, identify gaps, and propose a solution to bridge the gaps

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or Business, or a related field
  • Understanding of the practice of business analysis and industry standards
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst
  • Experience implementing multiple information systems in a range of contexts
  • Experience analyzing solution alternatives and selecting vendor products
  • Knowledge of system architecture, databases, and security
