STUDENT AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR (Part-time)
Rutland Intermediate School
Credential Requirements:
Ideal candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred, in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or Education with a number of years of experience working with children and families.
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Overview of responsibilities:
The Student and Family Engagement (SAFE) Coordinator maximizes student engagement and outcomes by orientating children and families to the program, working with the site team to maintain a high-quality program where children are safe and engaged in learning and exploration. The SAFE Coordinator promotes supportive learning environments, coaches staff on skills to enhance positive climate and interactions, and removes financial barriers by assisting families with the financial aid and/or child care subsidy application processes.
The Coordinator will:
• Provide a weekly program or activity that promotes social, emotional and/or life skills.
• Support the program site operations, assisting with program planning and staffing schedules, and develop and share communications (family newsletters, etc.)
• Complete and participate in student and program assessments (Mini-Dessa, YPQI, etc.), providing recommendations for the program, as appropriate.
• Work with the Site Coordinator to promote and monitor progress toward the goals of the program improvement plan.
