    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Mathematics Teacher - Trinity High School in River Forest, IL, is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning, instruction, activities and assessments based on a college preparatory program. Teachers are tasked with creating an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach fostering a safe environment that respects academic and cultural diversity. Additionally, teachers are expected to work together in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) with other teachers and support professionals in a collaborative manner to provide teaching strategies and methods that address a wide range of learning styles, individual needs, interests, abilities, and maturity level of students.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    Is able to adapt to change and react to events in a decisive manner
    • Possesses professional verbal and written communication skills

    • Takes initiative in problem solving independently and as a member of a team

    • Understands and makes use of school technology to enhance instruction and classroom experiences

    • Models Christian values


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Mathematics, Math Education or equivalent (Master's degree preferred)

    • Certification: Illinois Professional Educator License: 9-12
