GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A teacher at Trinity High School is an educational professional whose primary role is to provide students with a rigorous, engaging, and high quality education. The teacher is an emotionally mature, caring, balanced individual with a strong background in her/his academic discipline. The teacher enjoys working with adolescents. The teacher provides a learning environment that is safe for every student.
Additionally, the teacher possesses outstanding communication, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills. The teacher provides meaningful lessons and various means of assessing students. The teacher is committed to ongoing professional and personal growth.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Mathematics Teacher - Trinity High School in River Forest, IL, is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning, instruction, activities and assessments based on a college preparatory program. Teachers are tasked with creating an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach fostering a safe environment that respects academic and cultural diversity. Additionally, teachers are expected to work together in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) with other teachers and support professionals in a collaborative manner to provide teaching strategies and methods that address a wide range of learning styles, individual needs, interests, abilities, and maturity level of students.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Is able to adapt to change and react to events in a decisive manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Trinity High School is a Roman Catholic, Sinsinawa Dominican High School for girls located west of the city of Chicago. Trinity is an International Baccalaureate school with a near 100 year history of educating young women who embrace knowledge, faith, and strength as global citizens of the twenty-first century.
