Qualifications:

• Appropriate ODE Certificate


• Meet ODE TESOL or ESL validation requirements/licensure certification


• Strong background in reading diagnosis and intervention assessment

General Responsibilities:

• Pull students from regular education classes to provide services that meet State and Federal accommodations requirements for Limited English proficient students.


• Identify and assist students in the acquisition of the English language.

Specific Duties:

• Follow state and district guidelines for the education of limited English proficient students.


• Assess student English proficiency using diagnostic tools such as the IPT (Idea Proficiency Test).


• Develop and implement goals and prescriptive plans for students.


• Maintain records and monitor student information data.


• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and other specialists to meet student needs.


• Attend in-services and workshops scheduled by the supervisor.


• Communicate with parent(s) or guardian(s) when appropriate.


• Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the District Supervisor.

Possess the physical and mental attributes required to perform all essential functions.

Terms of Employment: Salary:

2021 - 2022 School Year Per ECEA Negotiated Contract
Hourly Rate not to exceed $20,000.00
