**Substitutes are 'on-call' employees serving on a day-to-day basis.

**The intent of a substitute is to fill in for an employee who is on a leave of absence or for an approved vacancy. Substitutes are called for assignments through an automated system- SubFinder. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed.

**You must be available to substitute teach in all grade levels and at all school sites.

Have you passed your CBEST and would like to substitute teach? Twin Rivers USD requires you to have at least an Emergency 30 Day Substitute Teaching permit in order to substitute teach for Twin Rivers USD. We will be happy to help process your Substitute Teaching permit with the Commission on Teacher Credentialing! Attach your passing CBEST as a credential requirement with your EdJoin application to receive more information.

Contingent upon hire selected candidates must provide proof of a negative TB reading (no older than 4 years), pass a criminal background check by the Department of Justice and possibly by the FBI, have a valid teaching credential/permit on file with CTC, have proof of identification, and fill out a Twin Rivers USD hire packet.
