Requirements / Qualifications

**Substitutes are 'on-call' employees serving on a day-to-day basis.

**The intent of a substitute is to fill in for an employee who is on a leave of absence. Substitutes are called for assignments through an automated system- Aesop. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed.

BASIC FUNCTION

Under supervision, oversee and monitor safety and well-being of property, students, faculty and staff for a District site; enforce applicable sections of the California Education Code, the District Board Policy, individual school rules, policies, regulations and procedures; assist in the maintenance of an orderly and safe campus.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, BONDING AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED

Possession of current First-Aid and CPR certification is required. Possession of current, state-issued Security Guard License is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Upon hire, selected candidates will be asked to provide proof of a negative TB reading, and perform a criminal background check by the Department of Justice and FBI.

  • Certification ( (Current, State-issued Security Guard License))
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Proof of HS Graduation ((High School Diploma or High School Transcripts or equivalent (ex: GED)))
