Social Emotional Learning Coordinator
Qualifications:
Support the effective implementation of the district's social and emotional learning vision. Help develop, adapt, and execute grade appropriate SEL initiatives within schools and support district and school staff in promoting students' social and emotional development through curriculum and assessment. Working in cooperation with school staff, parents, and community partners, to coordinate internal and external resources to meet the needs of students and contribute to a positive school climate and support the district's strategic framework.

Social Emotional Learning Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with major in education, counseling or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in SEL and school climate
- Experience designing and delivering professional development
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and work collaboratively with various teams
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create positive relationships
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel in addition to technology required for communication and production of resource materials
Support the effective implementation of the district's social and emotional learning vision. Help develop, adapt, and execute grade appropriate SEL initiatives within schools and support district and school staff in promoting students' social and emotional development through curriculum and assessment. Working in cooperation with school staff, parents, and community partners, to coordinate internal and external resources to meet the needs of students and contribute to a positive school climate and support the district's strategic framework.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Models the five characteristics of Social Emotional Learning.
- Work collaboratively with schools to integrate social-emotional learning programs aligned with the district's strategic plan.
- Contribute to short-term and long-term planning of district-wide SEL integration.
- Consult with coordinators, administrators, school counselors, school psychologists and teachers, regarding the social and emotional needs of students.
- Coordinate and deliver resources that integrate various school climate initiatives to school buildings to promote students' social-emotional learning.
- Collect and analyze data to make decisions and adjustments to SEL curriculum and initiatives.
- Stay current on research and best practices in social-emotional learning.
- Assist with designing staff professional development and training to support effective implementation of social-emotional learning in schools.
- Develop educational workshops for parents and the community to build investment in SEL.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
