  • PURPOSE
    We are seeking an entrepreneurial self-starter with excellent project management skills and a keen eye for talent to join the HR team as a Talent Specialist with emphasis on cultivating varied sources of top talent for the full spectrum of Network roles and sourcing for hard-to-fill school-based positions. This person will play a critical role in supporting our efforts to staff our schools with mission-driven and outcome-oriented talent. This position promises to be fast-paced and full of opportunities to implement new and impactful initiatives.
    As a Talent Specialist , your primary tasks will include:
    • Supporting the HR Talent team with a focus on assigned schools and regions as lead recruiter.
    • Forging a talent partnership: setting up and participating in interviews, discussing and determining candidates' quality, and providing consistent updates on the talent pool and challenges.
    • Establishing and maintaining talent pipelines for assigned target areas.
    • Devising new and innovative approaches to recruitment outreach and selection processes.
    • Serving as Talent Team lead for ATS implementation.
    • Utilizing innovative recruiting techniques to proactively source candidates using the internet, social media, partnerships, networking, etc.
    • Collaborating with school principals and hiring managers to identify, track, and meet their particular hiring needs.
    • Setting goals and appropriate timelines with hiring managers.
    • Conducting background and research: asking for feedback about previous hires, previous manager satisfaction, best practices, and other relevant information.
    • Developing and executing methods to track recruitment metrics to aid in strategy evaluation and drive process efficiencies.
    • Designing rigorous data analysis to provide greater transparency and guide recruitment best practices.
    • Attending and assisting with the coordination and execution of recruitment events and fairs.
    • Preparing, posting, and updating open positions on LEARN career page and other websites used to source quality candidates.
    • Sourcing, qualifying, and thoroughly screening candidates for identified knowledge, skills and ability while focusing on the specific fit for LEARN's culture and strategic direction.
    • Having a sense of urgency around every vacancy, every issue, timeliness, follow through, and communication.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Education, Training and/or Experience

    This position is a great fit if:
    • You have a bachelor's degree.
    • You have experience maintaining, updating, and transitioning ATS systems.
    • You display a strategic eye for making job descriptions and postings appealing to candidates.
    • You have social media experience, especially for recruiting purposes.
    • You have 2-3 years of Human Resource or of direct high-volume sourcing and recruitment experience in a fast-paced work environment.
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

    To succeed as a Talent Specialist , you possess a highly entrepreneurial mindset, with a high degree of independent judgment. You consistently demonstrate a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and ethics.

    You have well-developed problem identification and solving abilities along with the ability to mediate and resolve conflict. You maintain a high level of energy and a consistently positive attitude, including the ability to adapt quickly to change. You are highly focused on customer service with both internal and external clients.

    You have intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications for use in project planning and data reporting, marketing design software, and other multimedia tools. You maintain availability outside standard hours to connect with principals, hiring managers, and other staff on urgent issues.

    You demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines, along with the ability to be cooperative and partner with co-workers to accomplish organizational goals. You display strong communications skills to connect in a personable and professional manner with all stakeholders.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    This position is an ideal fit if:
    • You have previous experience as an educator or related classroom-centered role.
    • You have working knowledge of teacher certification, endorsement, and emergency licensing.
    • You have prior charter school experience.
    • You demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of Human Resources.
    • You are bilingual (Spanish).
    • You display experience in resume evaluation, conducting interviews, skills assessment and hiring manager interaction.
    • You can effectively represent LEARN at in-person and virtual recruiting, community, and industry events.
    • You have PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
    • You have experience serving as a liaison between various parts of the organization, providing in-depth updates and regular communication to ensure effective coordination and transparency.
