Facing History seeks a dedicated senior leader for a new role that will support the implementation of an ambitious programmatic strategy designed to bring our high-quality, effective program to exponentially more teachers. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Executive Program Director, Strategic Program Implementation (EPD-SPI) will supervise a team of regionally-based, experienced program directors who are responsible for delivering strategically-aligned programming that responds to local needs. The success of our refined strategy depends on collaborative, outcomes-oriented relationships between the EPD-SPI and other senior leaders, both within and beyond the Program team.

Who you are:

You are an exceptional leader who is passionate about our mission and excited to support teachers as they help students make sense of the world and have an impact on their communities. You are a skilled relationship-builder, who is comfortable working laterally across various teams, and partnering closely with executive leadership. You thrive in dynamic environments and successfully chart strategic paths forward in collaboration with others.

You are comfortable in implementing established programming as well as innovating and piloting new initiatives that build on a rich organizational history. You are a constant learner, always assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of programming and strategies. You relish establishing strong, clear systems of working and communications channels. You are outcomes-oriented, with constant attention to ensuring the greatest impact.

What you will do:

You will be a right-hand partner to the Chief Program Officer, with a primary focus on ensuring alignment between national strategy and local implementation. You will serve as a senior leader of Facing History and Ourselves, and as an instrumental leader within the Program team.

In addition to helping guide strategy and creating systems and processes for communication and programmatic innovation, you will partner with senior organization and Program leaders to ensure:
