Mathematics Specialist - Elementary Level - Keene School District - One-Year-Only for 2021-2022
The Mathematics Specialist acts as a resource person to train and develop teacher efficacy in teaching mathematics, resulting in student mastery of math concepts and standards. This involves understanding and supporting teachers in the development and implementation of the math curriculum. The Math Specialist will support teachers by modeling instructional strategies and lessons, collaboratively developing and modifying lesson plans, and expanding teacher and parent understanding of current mathematics research and knowledge. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and analysis of mathematics assessment and for the facilitation of the school-wide math plan.

This is a grant funded position designed to support the four Keene Elementary Schools to develop a sustainable and successful plan for teaching mathematics resulting in improved student mathematical achievement. This position is full-time, with excellent benefits for the 2021-2022 school year only.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience : A minimum of five years teaching experience, preferably in mathematics.
Knowledge of Common Core and Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Evidence of leadership in mathematics and curriculum.

Education : Bachelor's degree in mathematics or Elementary Education with HQT in mathematics.

Certification : Hold or be eligible for a NH teacher certification in the appropriate content area;
Math Specialist Certification or SOE preferred.
