GENERAL DUTIES Oversees Intra-district FAME Afterschool Arts Academy for the Bridgeport School District. Serve as a conduit between the FAME Afterschool Arts Academy and the community, including public relations and the promotion of the District's Afterschool Arts Academy. When necessary, assume responsibility or assist with the organization and scheduling of performances and shows. Assist in facilitating scheduling of necessary personnel as required to host arts events. Maintains ongoing communications with Director of Performing and Visual Arts and Harding High School Administration. Maintains inventory and supplies for longevity of use. Ensures that proper student records are kept and maintained. Ensures that accurate data and records are kept and maintained. Promotes goodwill and public relations among parents, teaching artists and District Administrators. Act as liaison between Bridgeport Public Schools and outside program providers. Perform all other duties, as assigned by the Director of Performing and Visual Arts, Harding Administrative Team, Superintendent or Superintendent's Designee.
Preferred KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of effective Arts instruction and implementation that is appropriate for High School students. Ability to relate to culturally diverse parents and students Successful experience and knowledge of Arts curricula Successful experience of data collection and organization Organizational and problem-solving skills
REQUIREMENTS Successful program coordinator experience. Ability to effectively manage personnel and students. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Demonstrated ability to work with teachers, administrators, parents, community groups and local youth organizations. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology for communication and delivery of instruction. Evidence of diplomacy, flexibility, creativity, and perseverance
Hourly rate: $38.50
Hours : Monday/Tuesday/Thursday, 2:45pm - 4:45pm from January 2022 June 2022
