Salary Range: $70,057 - $84,779

Essential Functions and Objectives:

A dministers and manages activities within a specific area of responsibility. Serves as the subject matter expert and applies gained knowledge to execute, maintain and improve systems, programs, or processes.

L eads, designs, and develops training and instructional materials for District employees on a variety of topics related to serving Multilingual learners. Assists the MLE management team to ensure the strategy and directional goals of the MLE Learning and Development program are achieved.

- Provides various support and conducts activities related to logistics, reporting, training, communications, and processes. Participates in the planning and implementation of new initiatives.

- Transforms text to a visual format by adding images and creating infographics for print and digital publications.

- Assesses and troubleshoots escalated problems and applies expert understanding to resolve complex challenges of stakeholders; focuses on root cause identification in order to achieve systemic and sustainable improvement. Approves and documents exceptions for compliance record keeping and reporting.

- Ensures appropriate key stakeholder involvement in planning, goal-setting, and implementation to achieve buy-in of work products. Ensures purposeful, positive and professional interactions and relationships with all stakeholders; enables the consistent application of work products across the district.

- Identifies opportunities for improvement, prioritizes, and recommends solutions to management. Implements approved enhancements to ensure consistency across the district. identifies opportunities to reduce costs; analyzes available data, trends, and feedback, and ensures compliance with expectations for optimal operation and goal achievement.

- Provides leadership in the development, implementation, coordination, and support of the District's Multilingual Education professional development for teachers and leaders.

- Designs and develops courses to educate District employees through online and hybrid training courses.

- Researches and develops agile methodologies to design and create effective and creative instructional materials to support webinars and interactive e-learning content, including subject matter expert feedback.

- Adapts existing instructional content and/or delivery methods in order to create deliverables that are learner-centered and interactive through multimedia design, activities, and feedback.

- Provides training and support to team members as needed for their success in designing curriculum that reflects the functionality of the content and learning management system utilized.

- Conducts the Storyboarding of content learning to course outcomes.

- Designs and creates online course and assignment syllabi and rubrics according to instructional design best practice.

- Researches and recommends and/or uses common digital learning design tools to support the creation of custom course curriculum.

- Leads the ELA Teacher Qualification instructor team in E-learning best practices, providing feedback, training, and support.

- Attends courses in the evenings and on Saturdays to provide support and feedback to ELA Teacher Qualification instructors.

- Collaborates with the ELA Instructional Practices team and attends all team, department, and related meetings.

K nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Three (3) or more years of experience designing web-based training or e-learning and planning and providing professional development for adults in multiple formats based on principles of adult learning.

- Two (2) or more years of experience transforming text to a visual format by adding images, creating infographics, and formatting.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Google Suite.

- Must possess good time management and organizational skills to manage learning events and achieve learning outcomes.

- Possess strong technical writing/editing skills related to content development and instructional materials development.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.

- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and creatively solve problems.

- Works collaboratively with others on a team.

- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with blended learning applications and learning management systems.

- Ability to design courseware to support defined Learning Objectives.

- Intermediate use of digital learning technology, including web conferencing, video editing, web design, or interaction design.

- Strong understanding of adult learning theory and a willingness to learn new tools and systems to enhance the online/hybrid experience for adult learners.

- Proficiency with Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline, Photoshop, and Camtasia preferred.

E ducation Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or related field required.

- Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
