Hours:
8 hours/12 months (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. w/ 1 hour lunch)

Specifics:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must complete/pass MIgrant Family Service Advocate assessment. Must type at a rate sufficient to effectively perform the typing skills required of the position. One (1) year of training or experience in community or school special program, or prior experience at or equivalent to experience as an instructional aide in the S.U.H.S.D., in which the incumbent has acquired the knowledge and abilities listed in the job description. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Serve as an advocate for parents, students and the community with school personnel; connect families with appropriate community resources; perform duties unique to specific projects or programs; promote positive parent and community involvement in the school. Knowledge of Excel and Word preferred. Must have reliable transportation to be able to go on home visits and attend periodic meetings that may be scheduled during other designated hours. Possess and be willing to use personal vehicle in the course of duties. Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License with an acceptable driving record and qualification for insurability by the District's insurance carrier. See job description for further details.
