Job Description
Contingent upon funding
Under the direction of the Office of Specialized Instruction and Services, the lead teacher for Alternate Assessment will work with the special education managers/supervisors in coordinating and providing in service training for the Office of Specialized Instruction and Services and Exceptional Children Services Teachers. Also, the lead teacher for Alternate Assessment will provide support to teachers in obtaining certification as well as the administration of DLM. In addition, the lead will also possess the knowledge to provide support with the Unique Learning System and guide teachers to write IEPS using the Essential Elements.

- Coordinate and Chair meetings for Alternate Assessment TeachersCoordinate and/or provide professional developmentAssist in training teachers on Unique Learning System, DLM, and Essential ElementsLiaison to communicate with Alternate Assessment Teachers and AdministratorsAssist teachers in obtaining the certification for administering DLM
Salary Rate Range
$25 per hour for up to 3 hours per week
