The District is accepting applications for Family Service Advocate with the MSHS Program 2022 Season.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This is the minimum experience and education/training standards that will be used to admit or reject applicants.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by some college-level coursework in community service or related field and one year experience working with children and families, community service, public relations, or related activities.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Complete Program sponsored Family Development Certification within 18 months of hire or provide documentation of similar certification in social work, human services, counseling, or related field.

Valid California driver's license.

Maintain current auto insurance.

May be required to provide own transportation.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of an assigned administrator, encourage and coordinate parent education and involvement in various school programs and other activities; perform liaison duties between administrators, personnel, and parents; refer families to local agencies or school services as appropriate; prepare and maintain related records and reports.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:

Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).

PAY DAYS: Temporary employees are paid on the 10th of each month.
