Job Title: Elementary Secretary - Part Time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Previous office experience

• Knowledge of computer usage and related software mandatory

• Knowledge of office equipment

• Knowledge of Infinite Campus and District software is preferred

• Willingness to take initiative and work independently

• Ability to communicate with all students, staff and various publics

• Excellent communication skills oral and written

• Good organizational skills

• Proficient typing abilities

• Excellent attendance record and prior work record

• Ability to collect, alphabetize and file

• Ability to maintain records accurately

• Proper grammar and English usage

• Excellent human relations skills and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

• Ability to take accurate messages

• Good proofreading skills

• Ability to multi-task

Other Information

Location: Edison Elementary

Reports to: Building Principal

Salary Schedule: $16.92 per hour

Hours to Work: 5.0 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Secretary to the Building Principal

• Responsible for completing reports for various departments within the school district including payroll.

• Greet all visitors to the office and on the phone with friendly and courteous professionalism

• Responsible for handling attendance and registration

• Maintain office inventory

• Serve as receptionist and office manager

• Prepare and process correspondence, newsletter, reports as needed.

• Other duties as assigned
