Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in public administration, human resources, or related field. Five years of progressively more responsible human resources or related experience, two years of which shall have been in labor relations and/or contract negotiation. Training in conflict resolution and/or mediation preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Knowledge of employer-employee relations techniques and methodologies, federal and state laws pertaining to public employee collective negotiations. Knowledge of FCPS policies and regulations that relate to the assigned office. Familiarity with the principles and methods of public human resources administration and educational institution organization. Ability to provide subject matter expert advice on issues. Ability to manage conflict, deal with controversy, and handle sensitive confidential information. Ability to conduct detailed, analytic documentation and administrative studies. Ability to establish and maintain successful collaborative working relationships to address complicated or long-term needs with both external and internal clients. Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups. Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
