The classroom teacher is committed to educating each student according to their Individual Education Plan (IEP). The classroom and community are used to support academic, functional and vocational learning.
Building/Location : Buffalo
Position Status : Full time
Certification Type : Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6 {9014}, Students with Disabilities - Urdu Grades 7-12 {9068}
Additional Job Information : Bachelor?s Degree in Education, Special Education or Students with Disabilities.
New York State Teaching Certification for Students with Disabilities.
Valid New York State driver's license.
One year of cumulative experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, grasping, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
Ability to move, reposition, lift and transfer individuals as required by prescribed program/ plan.
