Contract Length: 12 month/261 days
Salary Range: $29,232 to $43,234 depending upon education and experience
Purpose: Responsible for maintaining the physical asset(s) of the building, ancillary buildings and teacherage housing under the direction of the Maintenance & Operations Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree GED;
- Knowledge of general maintenance techniques preferred;
- Mechanical, automotive, electrical and/or plumbing license preferred;
- Valid New Mexico driver's license;
- Working Knowledge of computers and software packages, including Microsoft Word. E-mail and internet
- Ability to work under deadlines;
- Ability to read diagrams, maintenance instructions and procedures manuals;
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrams and schedule form;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing;
- Maintain effective working relationship with vendors.
Essential Duties:
- Accurately orders and accounts for material and labor relative to assignments;
- Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines;
- Performs general maintenance work inside and outside the physical plant such as ceiling, roof, electrical plumbing, concrete masonry, glazing, insulation, tile and pump, and fan repairs;
- Perform district wide grounds maintenance work such as plowing, salting, field marking and maintenance of underground sprinkler system;
- Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase and maintains the inventory of district-owned hand tools, equipment, hardware, materials and supplies;
- Responsible for the completion of all work orders and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned via Maintenance Direct;
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency "on-call" maintenance service as scheduled;
- Plans and accurately orders materials and supplies to complete tasks in cost effective and timely manner;
- Perform general maintenance work indoors and out of doors to include interior repairs, exterior repairs, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Insulation, pumps, boiler, concrete, masonry, tile, glazing, etc.
- Performs district wide grounds work to include snow and ice removal, field marking, maintain and monitoring irrigation systems;
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of district owned tools as issued or checked out for use;
- Utilizes SchoolDude Maintenance Direct, Inventory Direct, an PM Direct to organize, report and document task status;
- Comply with all safety and OSHA requirements;
- Complete timesheets in a timely manner;
- Follows the guidelines of the district's Hazard Communication Program as it regards to MSDS's and labels;
- Performs quarterly asbestos inspections;
