Job Description

ESSER Project Manager | Grant Funded For Up To Three Years Based on Annual Renewal

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to manage the implementation and evaluation of specific ESSER grant funded projects. ESSER funding is provided to LEAs to fund initiatives that are designed to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus and also address learning recovery efforts due to the interrupted teaching and learning since there were changes to remote learning due to the pandemic. This is a grant-funded position and subject to renewal/extension.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the point person for the oversight and evaluation of specific programs funded by the ESSER grant.

• Manages systems used to collect data designed to monitor the implementation of strategies and outcomes associated with ESSER funded projects.

• Collaborates with the ESSER evaluator in the development of logic models and evaluation plans associated with specific ESSER projects.

• Collaborates with other departments to provide information, materials, and updates regarding research and evaluation projects and accountability measures.

• Collects, reviews, and maintains qualitative and quantitative data from specific ESSER funded programs.

• Prepares reports regarding student achievement, teacher effectiveness, teacher retention, school culture, and impact of services funded by ESSER.

• Assists in the development of reports needed by district leadership and local education stakeholders to measure the efficacy of the project.

• Serves as the point person for communication regarding ESSER data.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of State of NC and district policies, procedures and processes that use student and staff data.

• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Doc software.

• Experience managing educational programming designed to provide remediation for students not on grade level.

• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and present findings to district leadership.

• Demonstrated/proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously.

• Exceptional oral and written communications, interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population, various backgrounds, and perspectives.

Job Qualification

Pay Grade PSM1 | Full-Time | 12 Months | Grant Funded For Up To Three Years Based on Annual Renewal | $59,890 Minimum Annual Salary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Educational Research or related field PLUS two years of experience in education/educational measurement or project management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

• Desirable: Master's Degree in Education, Educational Research, or related field that emphasizes research and statistics PLUS four years of related experience.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

• Desirable: NC Teaching Licensure, National Board Certification
