E ssential Functions and Objectives:

R esponsible for aligning business objectives to designated departments and functions. Consults with leadership and supports district activities which engage schools, businesses, community leaders and organizations in a collaborative effort to improve performance and achieve team goals.

M anage the development, growth and collaborative relationships with principals and school administrators throughout the District.

- Provides guidance, makes recommendations, and manages solutions for alternate methods of solving needs or issues within departments. Represents the district in meetings; provides market and customer feedback to partners and management teams. Forms strategic relationships within the community and district network. Builds trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders by communicating needs and creating synergy.

- Conducts onsite research, administers studies, evaluates survey results, analyzes and reports on initiatives and goals. Identifies and defines problems within internal departments and determines solutions to inform, influence, and propel solutions. Obtains and analyzes data to discover useful information and recommend solutions for the district. Participates in and supports decision-making processes with the goal of determining success criteria.

- Ensures adequate lines of communication by conducting meetings, advocating for clients, following up, and negotiating to enhance team partnerships. Maintains communication with partners and clients on relevant topics including new service or product offerings, strategic plans, and beneficial activities. Follows up on leads and inquiries obtained by partners that compliment and support the business.

- Provides management teams the opportunity to achieve specific personal or professional goals by providing training and guidance. Develops and conducts trainings for managers, such as facilitation, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and effective group interaction skills. Assigns individuals for valuable job related skills training to improve work performance.

- Manage the programs and resources the cultivate awareness among school administrators and Human Resources team members that a core function of Human Resources is to support the growth of human capital at the school level.

- Oversee counsel and assistance to school administrators on a broad range of human resource issues, including school employee staffing and retention, employee performance management, employee training and development, labor relations and employee relations.

- Collaborate with other School Partners, Human Resources subject matter experts, School Administrators and Instructional Leaders to develop and implement human resources policies that strengthen the ability of schools to attract and retain the best educators and staff members.

- Oversee district wide professional development initiatives for principals on leadership and human capital topics.

- Liaison with other teams within the Department of Human Resources to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of human resources services to school administrators.

- Enhance principals' abilities to effectively and efficiently manage human capital within their school by providing human resources data and related counsel and advice that will allow principals to more effectively manage human capital issues within their schools.

- Oversee effective ongoing professional development opportunities to help principals manage human capital, including "just in time" training to principals on human capital related topics as requested.

- Develop and manage the goals and objectives of the Strategic School Partnership Team and the Human Resource department.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

K nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Three (3) to five (5) years prior experience serving as a Human Resources business partner required.

- Experience working in a K-12 public school environment is preferred.

- Robust problem solving skills and the ability to act decisively.

- Previous labor relations, bargaining unit contract interpretation and compliance experience preferred.

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

- Proven experience developing effective collaborative, customer focused relationships to achieve goals.

- Experience and proficiency with Google Suite.

- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.

- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

- Work collaboratively with others on a team.

- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment with district and school leaders, faculty, staff and students.

- Effective communication skills.

- Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.

- Effective time management and organizational skills.

- Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated ability to initiative change initiatives and educate client groups effectively, preferred.

E ducation Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.

- Master's Degree is preferred.
